6 year old Avon has been diagnosed with B-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. He’s not old enough to understand what those big words mean, but what he does know is that he spends days at home and in the hospital instead of days in his kindergarten classroom with friends. Avon faces a 2.5 year treatment plan. During this time, his mom is his caregiver, which makes working nearly impossible. Dad is missing work at times also, to make sure Avon’s two sisters are taken care of. Their savings has already been used up, and their greatest needs are for food and for basic living essentials like rent, electricity and water.
