Just before Christmas 2021, we learned that this sweet boy and his family had been battling since October to find answers to Jaxson’s medical issues. Broken bones, lethargy, poor appetite… all of Jaxson’s symptoms worried his mom and dad, but Jaxson’s current hospital couldn’t give his family any answers. Mom’s intuition was on full alert - she knew she needed to find Jaxson a new hospital with a new medical team. Just after Thanksgiving, Jaxson’s family finally began to learn what was causing Jaxson’s symptoms - Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). This news was life-changing for the whole family. What’s more, in the following weeks genetic testing would reveal that Jaxson was also suffering from Osteogenesis Imperfect (OI, also referred to as Brittle Bone Disease). 

This kid, he’s a fighter. At just 4 years old Jaxson has to undergo treatments that are scary and that he doesn’t understand. But he is winning! Jaxson is ALREADY in remission from his leukemia! He will undergo two more years of chemotherapy to help him stay cancer free. It won’t be an easy road and there will be many unknowns (especially with his OI diagnosis), but we are certain that Jaxson will continue to fight - and win❤️
