King and Kingston are twin boys that have been diagnosed with Sickle Cell disease. Having not one, but two sick children has been overwhelming for their single mom, Dakita. When Samuel’s Supper was contacted, this family had been living in a hotel. On the boys’ healthy days, Dakita would drop them off at daycare, go to work, finish, pay for a night’s hotel stay, and then start the process all over again the next morning. Despite being a hard worker, she simply couldn’t get ahead because of the boys’ medical needs and hospital stays.
