TJ's father took on the role of caregiver when nine year old TJ entered the hospital with Aplastic Anemia early in 2022. TJ was hospitalized for more than 5 months and suffered multiple health emergencies at the hospital while waiting on his life-saving stem cell donor. So far, there is no match and no end in site to TJ’s critical medical care. TJ’s military family has always been self-sufficient, but their finances have fallen short with the high costs of fuel combined with 1.5 hour trips (one way) to the hospital every other day for TJ’s platelet transfusions.
